Bvlgari Extends Support for Fight Against COVID-19 to Switzerland

The Roman jeweler is now extending its donations to multiple Swiss cantons

At the beginning of April, Bvlgari manufactured hand sanitizer gel to be supplied to all medical facilities through the Italian Government. And now, Bvlgari is extending its support to encompass several regions of Switzerland, a country where the brand employs more than 600 people.

Bvlgari worked together with its historical partner, the Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite manufacturer in Lodi, to supply the aforementioned hand sanitizer gel; and now IRC is stepping up the pace and its production caoacuty in order to provide donations to several Swiss cantons. Switzerland, as it happens, has one of the world’s highest per capita infection rates. Near the of end of April, around 100,000 bottles of hydroalcoholic gel packaged in recyclable 75ml bottles will be donated and distributed to five of the Swiss cantons most impacted by COVID-19, namely Geneva, Vaud, Valais, Basel and Zug. Bvlgari will extend this assistance to any other canton who asks for it.

Mr. Mauro Poggia, Geneva State Councillor, stated: “In my capacity as State Councillor, responsible for security, employment and health for the Canton of Geneva, I wish to express the authorities’ gratitude towards Bvlgari, whose remarkable generosity, like that of other important players in the economic world, will enable our carers and patients to protect themselves even better against the pandemic that is hitting us hard, through this spontaneous gift ensuring the ready availability of disinfectant gel.
