Burberry Launches “ReBurberry Edit” From Its Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

The introduction of the “ReBurberry Edit” coincides with the global roll out of dedicated sustainability labeling across all of Burberry’s key-product categories.

British label Burberry has unveiled a curated selection of 26 styles from its spring/summer 2020 collection titled “ReBurberry Edit.” This edit actually part of the brand’s industry-leading product sustainability program and is built on a heritage of innovation. The ReBurberry Edit—which is crafted from the latest sustainable materials used across Burberry’s entire product range—features various eyewear products crafted from pioneering bio-based acetate, along with trench coats, parkas, capes and accessories created from ECONYL—a recycled nylon made from regenerated fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic.

“At the half-way point of our Responsibility Strategy to 2022, we remain dedicated to delivering tangible progress against our social and environmental targets, and our holistic, product-focused sustainability programs are central to this,” explained Burberry’s Vice President Corporate Responsibility, Pam Batty. “By inviting customers to learn more about the sustainable credentials of our products through our labeling program, we are helping them to better understand our initiatives and the breadth of the ambition of our Responsibility Agenda. We strongly believe that driving positive change through all of our products at every stage of the value chain is crucial to building a more sustainable future for our whole industry.”

Furthermore, the new pistachio colored sustainability label will—for the first time—provide customers with insight into the industry-leading environmental and social credentials of Burberry. In addition, each product in the ReBurberry Edit lineup, along with others across menswear and womenwear RTW, softs and hard accessories, also bear the labels.
