After Virgil Abloh made his own self-isolation playlist, we now have LANVIN’s creative director Bruno Sialelli sharing his musical selections titled “Once Upon A Time.” The five-hour set list from the French designer are separated into three parts, all which are available on Spotify.
With many people still stuck at home due to home isolation policies increasingly becoming the norm, musicians and prominent figures from many industries have been sharing their curated sets of songs. From the fashion industry, following the reveal of Virgil Abloh’s playlist, comes French designer and LANVIN’s creative director Bruno Sialelli with his take on self-isolation music.
Titled “Once Upon A Time,” Sialelli’s five hour playlist is divided into three parts as the French designer attempts to make his own “soothing” and “loving” music radio. Each set is just as unpredictable and doesn’t seem to have a particular order in mind. In a way, it just like listening to a radio station.
Much like Abloh’s personal and self-reflective playlist, “Once Upon A Time” is full of what might be Sialelli’s personal artistic footprint as well as being all-around. It consist of songs from a variety of genres and different eras; from deep house to dream pop, electronic to disco, ambient to hip-hop and post-punk to classical. Sialelli even managed to put in some guilty pleasure songs of his own.
The common thread across the entire playlist is the way it manages to bring a sense of hope and optimism through songs songs that you’d imagine would be playing while you’re enjoying a cup of coffee at your nearest bistro, having a get together with your friends or dancing at a club.
