Powerful Partnership – Breitling celebrates the new partnership between two iconic brands that share intriguingly similar timelines and powerful legacies
Breitling Premier Norton Edition
One of the most exciting reveals at Baselworld 2019 from Breitling is the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition, which celebrates the partnership between the brand and British motorcycle company Norton. It’s safe to say that this new watch is a distinctive interpretation of the Premier that makes a bold urban statement.
Case in point: Up front, the elegant black dial comes with golden numerals and hour and minute hands, which offers an intriguing contrast. On the other hand, in order to indicate the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 at the heart of this watch, the silver subdials are now set against a black dial. To top it off, the “Norton” logo is engraved on a plate on the left side of the case. All in all, this is a watch that surely expresses the style and performance expected from a maker of refined Swiss watches and a motorcycle brand renowned for its exclusive British engineering.
Rounding up the Premier Norton Edition is a brown vintage raw-leather strap that will appeal both to watch enthusiasts and serious motorcyclists.
The Premier Norton Edition is driven by the Manufacture Caliber 01, which is CSOC-certified and offers an impressive power reserve of over 70 hours.
In its 42mm stainless steel case, the “Norton” logo is engraved on a plate on the left side, while the transparent
caseback features the logo and a printed Norton motorcycle.
Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition
As the longest-ever partnership between a watch brand and an automobile manufacturer, the story of Breitling and Britain’s Bentley Motors dates back to 2003, when the latter launched the very first Continental GT. Fast forward to this year, in order to commemorate the partnership and celebrate Bentley’s 100 years of luxury motoring excellence, Breitling introduced the Premier Bentley Centenary Limited Edition at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show.
So, for this special watch, the brand’s injected an unique brown wooden dial and an engraved “Bentley” inscription on the left side of the case, which is inspired from the dashboard of the historic 1929 “Blower” Bentley. Aside to that, the watch is completed with Breitling’s flagship Manufacture Caliber 01 that’s visible through a unique transparent case-back featuring a Bentley logo.
The unique brown burl elm dial in this watch is inspired by the wooden dashboard of the legendary 1929 “Blower” Bentley, the nickname given to the “4 ½ Litre Supercharged” car driven by Sir Tim Birkin and the legendary Bentley Boys back in the 1920s.
Powered by Breitling’s flagship Manufacture Caliber 01, the movement is visible through a unique transparent
caseback featuring a Bentley logo.
Two strap options are available for Bentley Centenary Limited Edition: stainless steel bracelet and a brown quilted calfskin strap.
