The biggest shoe trend coming out from Bottega Veneta this Pre-Fall 2020 comes down to a series of heavy boots with exaggerated soles.
Since joining Bottega Veneta as Creative Director in 2018, Daniel Lee has been trying to create a new fashion narrative by experimenting with new silhouettes and variations for the Italian fashion house. As a result, lug-soled and heavy-duty boots have become a signature of the brand.
For the Pre-Fall 2020 season, boots now come with contrasting soles in military green and bright red. Not just that, these boots also come in an ankle-height style with a wider range of colorways, as well as heel tabs detailing and elasticated panels reminiscent of classic Chelsea boots.
And to make it more interesting, a new pull-on quilted boot has also been added to the collection, in black and off-white leather. The quilted detail is a nod to the brand’s iconic leather works.
