Bangkok took on a bold shade of blue as CHANEL unveiled its latest fragrance, Bleu de CHANEL L’Exclusif, in a two-day celebration that blended education with an evening of style and energy. The launch underscored how CHANEL continues to set the tone for luxury fragrance introductions.
A Gathering of Stars

On August 26 and 27, more than 300 guests arrived from across Asia-Pacific. The guest list featured Thai actors and musicians such as Prin Suparat (Mark), Achiraya Nitibhon (Ally), Rebecca Armstrong (Becky), Thitiya Jirapornsilp (Baipor), Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying (Aokbab) and Norrawit Titicharoenrak (Gemini), along with international names like Indonesia’s Jerome Kurnia and Hong Kong’s Jay Fung. DA MAN was the only Indonesian media present, joining a regional mix that highlighted CHANEL’s influence in Asia and reaffirmed Bangkok’s role as a stage for major luxury events.
Behind the Scent
The first day focused on discovery. At Park Hyatt Bangkok, CHANEL’s In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge led exclusive masterclasses. He explained how Bleu de CHANEL L’Exclusif differs from earlier editions: less emphasis on bright citrus and greater depth from sandalwood, labdanum, amber and resins. The result is a fragrance that feels warmer, more complex and longer lasting, created for those who favor subtle strength over louder statements.
During the session, Jerome Kurnia joined Polge for a one-on-one conversation, adding a personal dimension and emphasizing how emotion and memory shape perfumery. Guests also explored raw ingredients and sampled vials of the finished scent, making the experience both hands-on and memorable. For many, it was a rare chance to see fragrance creation from the inside.
Polge described Bleu de CHANEL L’Exclusif as a reinterpretation rather than a reinvention. “It’s the same spirit, but expressed with a different intensity,” he explained. While the original Bleu has always been defined by freshness and energy, L’Exclusif introduces depth, maturity and staying power. It is versatile—elegant in the day, magnetic at night. For CHANEL, this edition represents the natural evolution of a modern icon.
The Blue Note Evening 
The next night, the celebration moved to One City Center (OCC), which has been transformed into a modern club-style venue called the “Blue Note.” The space featured striking blue lighting, neon accents and panoramic city views. Fragrance diffusers released soft waves of Bleu de CHANEL L’Exclusif, tying the atmosphere directly to the scent. The layout balanced sophistication with ease, giving guests room to mingle while keeping the stage in focus.

Entertainment set the tone. Thai artists Kade, Ally and Burin delivered lively performances, while Hong Kong’s Jay Fung added variety. Later, DJ Armani and Ice Paris lifted the tempo, creating a spirited party vibe that still kept its polished edge. Guests drifted between music, fragrance and conversation, enjoying both the entertainment and the relaxed networking mood.
What stood out was how seamlessly the fragrance infused the environment. Rather than being confined to bottles or displays, Bleu de CHANEL L’Exclusif lingered in the air, sparked conversation and shaped the atmosphere. It was a reminder that fragrance, at its best, is not only worn—it is experienced.
