Spring and summer are two seasons that have their own stories and Berluti testifies to the beauty of each with two compelling narratives
Berluti is one of the few fashion houses that prefers to engage the audience in intimate presentations during Paris Men’s Fashion Week rather than having a massive runway show and invitations. Berluti’s approach to fashion has always been subtle, as the Italian house understands that its sartorial approach is laid on its meticulous craftsmanship.
Berluti’s spring/summer 2024 showcase took place in its Saint Honoré boutique in Paris, where the house revisited its heritage and divided the collection into two chapters, which in turn will be launched in four releases. The first one is the Vibrant Luxury Story, highlighting the house’s spring collection.
This first story embodies fusion in garments. The petrol blue char bonnier jacket is particularly noteworthy, as it morphs suede and tech wool. The sand-colored military jacket also features fusion by blending suede and cotton. As informed by the season, this chapter features lightweight garments but still includes a windbreaker to cope with the weather. For accessories, the B Volute loafer and 48-hour bag are decorated with Berluti’s historical elements. The house’s formal shoe, the Demesure Flex, features Venezia leather, giving it an enhanced and more polished look.
Moving on to the second chapter, the Iconic Summer Story cultivates the collection’s response to heat, focusing on light materials and their construction. This particular story is the embodiment of classic summer essentials. To that end, the house injects matching sets of blousons and trousers and light denim suits. In addition to the ready-to-wear pieces, Berluti presents collectable accessories such as the Eden loafer, Playtime sneakers and the new Baluchon bag.
The house’s signature Patina and Scritto also return in new artisanal manifestations. Together they build up timeless trend(less) pieces that can stay in the wardrobe for quite a long time.
