Berluti has presented a beach-ready capsule collection featuring a new bag and a new edition of its Playtime sneakers
A day spent at the beach is a day worth freezing in time. To celebrate the magic of the season, Berluti has introduced a capsule collection of two iconic styles, featuring a bag in Jour line codes and a new edition of the Playtime sneaker. Both styles are exclusively launched as parts of the Parisian house’s spring/summer 2023 collection.
Narrating the idea of summer, Berluti has translated the themes of the collection through fabric selection. For the aforementioned tote, Berluti uses terrycloth to make the bag feel lightweight. A jacquard Scritto motif is featured on the surface, making it a subtle yet distinctive item that easily withstands water and dries quickly. There is a structured inner inside the bag’s interior specifically designed for the beach and swimming pool. Moreover, a beige mesh lining with a zipped pocket houses a rubber envelope pouch to store swimwear before and after a dip.
Next in line is the newly revisited Playtime sneaker made of a textured beige linen and cotton fabric. It also features an off-white rubber sole and, of course, the Scritto motif in contrasting colors. To cater to ardent shoe lovers, Berluti has provided two options to this line: One as a lace-up and the other as a slip-on. Both are unlined and are completed with fine white calf leather piping details.
