Banksy’s New Art From Lockdown

Banksy proves than you don’t need much to keep on creating.

Now that most of the world’s residents are in lockdown, keeping our minds occupied can become rather challenging. Banksy, the elusive and private street artist, has continued creating … from his bathroom at home. He posted five images on his Instagram account with the caption: “My wife hates it when I work from home.”

The images show rats—which have been featured in many of his works before—squeezing a tube of toothpaste while hanging off a light switch and knocking the bathroom mirror to one side, unraveling toilet rolls. There is even one urinating on the toilet seat.

Before this bathroom masterpiece, Banksy’s last artwork came out back in February, when he created a piece of street art in Bristol showing a girl firing a slingshot filled with flowers. Somebody then vandalized the piece by spray-painting the words “BBC wankers” across it.
