Balmain and Pokémon teamed up for the Trainer Fashion Set

Initially released as a series of video games for the Nintendo Game Boy, Pokémon has become one of the most popular media franchises of all time. This year, the Japanese brand stepped into the high fashion game and joined forces with French luxury maison Balmain for an unlikely collaboration.

Designed by the house’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, the collection titled “Pokémon X Balmain Trainer Fashion Set” becomes a must-have wardrobe for die-hard Pokémon fans and fun-lovers from all walks of life. Vibrant colors such as sky blue and yellow meet the house’s archival “Labyrinth” motif, appearing across key pieces including pants, vests, hoodies and shirts. Fan-beloved character Pikachu makes it obligatory appearance, striking a cute pose on the featured T-shirt, flare pants and a range of backpacks. Also in the collection are special sneakers, clad in a palette reminiscent of the lightning mouse.
