What We Love Today: “The Golden Dram” Aberfeldy

The single malt scotch whisky Aberfeldy has finally landed in Indonesia

Historically, Aberfeldy distillery was founded in 1898 by the dynamic Dewar brothers, John Alexander and Tommy. They built on a site just a stone’s throw from the birthplace of their father, the pioneering blender John Dewar. Moreover, inside the distillery, time-honored techniques like long fermentation—which conjures rare honeyed notes—safeguard the whisky’s flavor profile, renowned for its rich, smooth taste.

On the other hand, the single malt scotch whisky Aberfeldy is also known worldwide as “The Golden Dram,” due to the fact that the distillery water source is the famous Pitilie Burn—a river renowned for its water quality and famed for its rich deposits of alluvial gold.

Recently, the brand officially introduced its core portfolio, which is comprised of Aberfeldy 12-Year-Old, Aberfeldy 16-Year-Old, and Aberfeldy 21-Year-Old, to Indonesia. More importantly, each batch of the whisky is distilled in Alembic Copper Pot Stills, crafted by Forsyths in Scotland. Made of copper, the pot stills help Aberfeldy craft a fruity, classic highland style of whisky.
