The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is the highest hotel in the world. The Ritz-Carlton brand has always been about living the high life, but now they have taken it even higher, literally.
The newly opened Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong is a five-star masterpiece as all their properties seem to be, but what really sets this one apart is that it’s located over 100 floors above terra firma inside the world’s fourth-tallest building (nearly 500 meters high), the International Commerce Centre (ICC), where it occupies the top 17 stories.
The main lobby is on the 103rd floor, accessible by a high-speed elevator. This Ritz is a comeback of sorts as the previous incarnation was located in Hong Kong Central and closed in 2008. The 116th-story Spa by Espa boasts some of best views of any spa in the world, same goes for the pool, which has an infinity-like edge seemingly butting against the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The stylish Ozone restaurant/bar is on the top floor (118th) and has the distinction of being the highest bar in the world, serving signature cocktails, Asian tapas and Japanese specialties.
