Australian luxury skin care brand Aēsop is expanding its fragrance lineup with Rōzu.
For its fourth and latest fragrance lineup, Aēsop presents Rōzu de Parfum. Teaming up with long-term collaborator Barnabé Fillion, the Australian brand created a unisex scent inspired by the life, work and enthusiasms of modernist designer Charlotte Perriand. The fragrance is formulated in homage to the Japanese garden rose that was created in Perriand’s name.
Rōzu articulates the entire lifecycle of the Rose—from the earth in which it is planted until it bloom and, finally, fading petals. To that end, Fillion takes Perriand’s passion for extensive traveling, egalitarianism and the love for the wild outdoors and modernism, then pours them into the scent. It has a nuanced yet expansive intensity for a fragrance, with vibrant Shiso accords, woods and spices.
The Rōzu de Parfum opens with rich floral notes of rose, petitgrain, bergamot, Shiso and pink pepper, then continues with headier florals such as ylang-ylang, jasmine and guaiacwood at the heart. It ends with hints of sandalwood, vertiver, patchouli and myrrh. Rōzu de Parfum is available in 50ml and bottled in a simple amber colored bottle.
