Two classic silhouettes have now been revamped with vegan materials
As part of its “Our Icons Go Vegan” range, adidas Originals introduces two of its classic silhouettes with new vegan updates. The Samba and the Continental 80 are the silhouettes that have now been constructed using a PU-coated recycled polyester upper.
The Continental 80 also features algae-based EVA foam in its midsole. As a bonus side note, production of this material supposedly helps clean out at least 30 liters of polluted lake water.
Each silhouette comes in its signature colorways: “Cloud White” and “Core Black” with gum sole for the Samba; while the Continental 80 comes in “Cloud White,” “Collegiate Navy” and “Scarlet”. All the sneakers are 100-percent vegan since all materials used in their construction are free from animal ingredients.
