On June 27th and 28th, DAMAN attended a private event hosted by The Macallan, entitled “The M Club.” Held at Almaluna Bar &amp; Resto in Surabaya, the event highlighted The Macallan’s single malts, from The Macallan Rare Cask, The Macallan Edition No. 2, to their latest single malts The Macallan Edition No. 4 and also multiple options for cocktails—like the East Meet West and the Kretek Old Fashioned.

The elegant surroundings of Almaluna were filled with shadowy colors for VIP guests and friends of The Macallan. Guests began their journey with a cocktail in hand as the distinctive aromas of The Macallan were brought to life before their eyes. The evening started with a toast. Alvin Tan of Edrington Singapore and Ardian Asmari of Edrington Indonesia, shared tasting notes for guests to discover and appreciate the whiskies.

One of the highlights for us is none other than The Macallan No.6. This particular whisky brings together a lovely collaboration between the art from its Master Whisky Maker with the exquisite craftsmanship of the French crystal house, Lalique. As you take a whiff, you will undoubtedly feel its rich notes with raisins, dates and figs dominating the aroma scheme, while sultanas and toffee apples add texture and depth. It feels rich and complex on the taste buds, yet the flavors remain so until the very last drop.
