Ermenegildo Zegna Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori drew up his spring/summer 2022 collection, The New Set, as a scale of possibilities for us to adopt and adapt.
“My aim at Zegna is to create an accord between the essence of tailoring and the rhythm of the modern world,” Sartori said. “What I have done is a rewiring of luxury crafting, following a flow that frees the man while keeping the distinctiveness, offering pieces that are easy to wear as they are inventive. Effortlessness is the key.” In line with that statement, the collection emphasizes a sense of lightness as each garment carries a comfortable tailored silhouette. These include half kimono jackets with internal belts, fitted blousons or long duster jackets treated with calf leather, linen or regenerated Trivero wool or cotton. The New Set is meant for the everyday worker and presents a progressive spin on tailoring without forgoing function.
