A night that was “Born to be Gold”! Bvlgari celebrates Serpenti Seduttori and new editions of its most iconic collections in Shanghai, China.
BVLGARI, the Jeweler of Time, arrives in China with Shanghai’s launch of its new Serpenti Seduttori styles and brilliant new editions of its most iconic collections: Serpenti, Octo and Divas’ Dream.
The celebration kicked off with a press conference by Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, held at the Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai, in the historical atmosphere of Shanghai’s Chamber of Commerce building adjacent to the Hotel tower, as guests gathered to watch the unveiling of the new styles.
Afterwards, attendees celebrated the launch of the Serpenti Seduttori collection with an exclusive party at Baopu Art Museum in Shanghai. Featuring a star-studded guest list of local and international names including Zhong Chuxi, Li Meng, Bonnie Chen, Jerry He, Wang Yanlin, Zhao Lei, the event transcended any single collection or creation to pay homage to life’s golden moments. And it was those golden moments that inspired Bvlgari’s Serpenti Seduttori collection. The latest iteration of Bvlgari’s cult watch Serpenti, Serpenti Seduttori was Born to be Gold, meaning it evokes the extraordinary milestones and daily triumphs that make up a woman’s life. During the evening guests were treated to a special performance inspired by the Serpenti motif, which segued into dancing, courtesy of DJs Kadwell and Zen, who manned the decks and kept partygoers moving until the wee hours of the night.
The event was an exhilarating way to fête the whole collection and to introduce its three latest Serpenti Seduttori styles — the first models from the line having made their debut at Baselworld 2019, as well as an array of novelties, each of which epitomizes the Jeweler of Time and represents an inspired fusion of Italian creativity and Swiss engineering and design: unique high-jewellery pieces – Serpenti Misteriosi Romani Cuff, Serpenti Pallini – and ultimate complications – Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar Diamonds, Octo Roma Tourbillon Sapphire Jade or Octo Roma Monete – have been introduced for the first time in Shanghaï to a discerning audience.
China’s most cosmopolitan city, Shanghai, was the perfect milieu for the launch and both Bvlgari Hotel — set on a scenic riverbank and just minutes from the iconic Bund and Shanghai city centre — and the Baopu Art Museum were both an exquisite venues for the occasion, and both were decorated for the evening with a Born to be Gold theme that conjured a dazzling urban desertscape in an allusion to the golden sands of time.
