3-D Glasses Get High-Fashion Makeover
There is joy in the 3-D world for fashionistos. Gone are the dark and geeky days of wearing those anti-style, anti-fashion, uber-nerd glasses when watching a 3-D film, it’s time to say hello to a 3-D fashion makeover. Not only have high-style Italian brands Gucci and Armani Exchange got in on this 3-D revolution, but also American fashion giant Calvin Klein and chic sports brand Oakley have joined the fray. Calvin Klein’s ck3D sunglasses (pictured here) were created in conjunction with Marchon3D, and unlike the other brands so far, these can be worn as real sunglasses and are currently the only ones on the market that are “RealD” certified. The Oakleys are the special “TRON” Limited-Edition 3D Gascan eyewear, coinciding with the film Tron: Legacy. They are a take on Oakley’s popular wraparound models. The Gucci glasses are based on their already popular aviator silhouette and the Armani Exchange glasses are based on an “updated Navigator silhouette” with an “A|X 3D” logo on the upper part of the left lens and “Armani Exchange 3D” on the temple.
