Gadget Review: Go Pro Camera

EXTREME CLARITY. GoPro was started by a California surfer in 2004 with the goal of creating a high quality video camera that was small and durable enough to be wearable by extreme sports enthusiasts trying to capture their craziest stunts.

Since then, GoPro cameras have been used to shoot everything from the inside of massive waves to the insides of alligator mouths. The newest and most advanced version of the company’s camera is the Wi-Fi enabled Hero3, which is significantly smaller and lighter than previous models.

Its shooting capabilities are impressive as well; it is capable of capturing ultra wide video at 1440p 48fps, 1080p 60 fps and 720p 120 fps, as well as 12MP photos at a rate of 30 photos per second. It is waterproof down to 60m and can be safely mounted on a helmet or a surfboard. A must-have for fans of extreme sports or photography.
