The Cuba craze continues with Zenith’s latest watch
Early May saw Karl Lagerfeld show Chanel’s Resort 2017 womenswear collection in Havana, Cuba. It was a move that arrested the attention of many, especially considering the country’s political situation.
As the month comes to a close, Zenith keeps the interest on Cuba alive with its new timepiece collection: El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Cohiba Edition. As the name suggests, the watch is produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Cohiba, the legendary cigar brand favored by Che Guevara himself.
The pattern of Cohiba’s signature wrapper makes an appearance on the Havana brown-colored dial. At 11 o’clock, an opening shows the automatic El Primero 4061 chronograph movement inside.
A number of 500 units of this 42mm watch are available in stainless steel, while another 50 come in rose gold finish. Both versions are completed with an alligator leather strap.
