BOLT AND BLUE. A favorite out of Rolex’s 2014 collection is the Oyster Perpetual Milgauss
Its design pays tribute to the 1950s’ watchmaking technology with strong allusions to the antimagnetic field feature as apparent on the bolt-shaped seconds hand and the name Milgauss, concerning the 1,000-gauss resistance.
The Z blue dial and the green sapphire crystal glass are not particularly new, but they add plus points to the already attractive 40mm Oyster-shape case. Another appealing characteristic is the automatic movement caliber 3131, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. That original innovation is extended to the Oysterclasp folding on the bracelet that is flexible to be adjusted to a 5mm length increase.
