Why choose teams when you can have both?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, for the last couple of months, the world has been treated to two blockbuster movies featuring superheroes from two American comic book publishers, DC Comics and Marvel. DC Comics started things off by releasing “Batman V. Superman,” and Marvel followed with “Captain America: Civil War.” Both movies asked the viewers to do the same thing: To choose a team between Team Batman or Team Superman, and Team Captain America or Team Iron Man.
At the same time, it’s no secret that the two publishers are competing against each other. Most comic book fans are pretty much divided between Team DC and Team Marvel. Well, Valentino may just have ended the competition once and for all.
The fashion house is launching a collection with a superhero theme. But, get this. Instead of teaming up with one of the publishers, Valentino is cooperating with both DC Comics and Marvel. The collection consists of low-top sneakers and T-shirts that are designed with the signature colors and logos of three popular superheroes, namely Batman, Superman and Spider-Man.
Each of the sneakers is completed with three velcro in the front with stud detail on the rubber sole, while the crew-neck T-shirts are made from 100 percent cotton.
The collection seems to come out of the blue, considering the fact that Valentino is not exactly the name you would usually associate with pop culture. How will this collection bring changes to the fashion house? Let us know by leaving a comment or tweeting us!
