Because he’s the hero we deserve
Stephen Curry made headlines recently after he became the first person to be unanimously named as the NBA MVP. If that doesn’t sound impressive enough, let us tell you that he’s won the title for the second time in a row.
It’s safe to say, then, that Curry has pretty much reached Batman’s level of awesomeness.
We don’t know for sure, though, but maybe that’s part of the reason why Under Armour has likened the athlete to the superhero.
On Saturday, June 11, the American sportswear brand will release a new rendition of its highly popular Curry 2 sneakers. Named the Black Knight Under Armour Curry 2, the sneakers feature the two primary colors that are found in retro, pre-George Clooney/Joel Schumacher Batman, namely black and yellow.
The design also features Curry’s signature logo on the backside of the tongues and a cracked pattern on the soles.
Priced at US$ 130, the Black Knight will be sold at select Under Armour stores and also on the brand’s website.
