NEW FASHION GIG. Grammy award winning duo Drew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers have just been appointed Tommy Hilfiger’s Global Menswear Ambassadors
It seems that American fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger is signing up the latest and greatest social influencers to partner up for its campaigns. After extending its partnership with “Tommy Girl” Gigi Hadid, it has just signed the Grammy winning duo Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, also known as The Chainsmokers for a worldwide campaign. The musical duo have agreed to showcase the latest designs for Tommy Hilfiger menswear which include Hilfiger Edition, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored and Tommy Hilfiger sportswear.
The duo’s most recent appearance on the ABC show “Good Morning America”, was somewhat of a sneak peek at the new fashion partnership as both Taggart and Pall performed wearing striped shirts by Hilfiger. The Chainsmokers will officially be the faces for Tommy Hilfiger’s fall/winter 2017 campaign which will break globally sometime in Fall. This will also mark the end of the brand’s partnership with tennis champion Rafael Nadal, who has been the global menswear ambassador since 2014.
This isn’t the first time for Tommy Hilfiger to work with the music industry, having dressed musicians such as Usher, Mark Ronson and the late Aaliyah back in the 1990s. The brand also provided the wardrobe for Britney Spears North American tour in 1999. The next upcoming music related show for the designer will take place at London’s iconic Roundhouse music venue and feature Gigi Hadid.
