Style Duet: Match Made in Fashion Heaven

Young rising star, Ziah Colon, will appear alongside actors Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Miles Teller and two veteran actors, Dennis Quaid and Andie MacDowell in the remake of the classic Footloose, which will come out later this year. In this DA MAN exclusive, she’s photographed with emerging model Austin to showcase high-fashion clothing, courtesy of Armani, Burberry, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

Exotic young actress Ziah Colon is set for a breakout in the re-make of Footloose, where she plays the role of Rusty, which was the same role played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the 1984 version. Austin is a similarly exotic young male model on the rise. Together, they make sweet music in high-fashion attire. By Malcolm Exeter.

Ziah Colon
Ziah Colon is from the Atlanta area in the southern U.S., but her heritage is Puerto Rican. She has been acting for nearly a decade but only started getting noticed in the past three years. Ziah has done several commercials as well as roles on TV such as Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva. In 2009, she was in the comedy Road Trip: Beer Pong.

However, this year is her big breakout role in the remake of Footloose and she told DA MAN how she felt about her new role. “I play Rusty, who is Ariel’s best friend. She is a sweet girl, smart, has a good sense of humor, and likes to have fun. I’d hang out with her,” Ziah tells us.

The role of Rusty is the same one that Sarah Jessica Parker played in the 1984 version, for which Ziah exclaims: “[I think about that] all the time! It is truly a surreal experience! It is such an honor to follow in her footsteps.”
