Simplicity Taken to an Extreme

FAIR AND SQUARE. If there’s anything that’s typical of Bell & Ross, it is the solid square case

Bell & Ross

For a very unusual proposition, the French maison introduces the BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor that looks almost like an unfinished watch. The idea of a “skeletonized” dial is taken to the extreme as the baseplate becomes the dial itself. There is an unmistakable industrial vibe in terms of aesthetics, further enhanced by the gray leather strap. The uniformity of color, however, disguises the extra-flat flying tourbillon at the 6 o’clock position bearing the brand’s iconic “&” symbol. The transparent sapphire case secured only by four screws also appears incredibly sophisticated. Well, that is also Bell & Ross in a nutshell: modern sophistication on watchmaking traditions.
