Welcoming Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo into the world
Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo, the new fragrance for men from the Florence-based brand, has been officially introduced to the public in an exclusive party that was held on June 7, 2016.
“Scent of Life” was the theme of the event that took place at the Boboli Gardens in Florence. Guests included English actor Ben Barnes, who is also the face of the fragrance.
The party saw Barnes read a passage from Patrick Süskind’s novel, “Perfume.” Which was probably a little questionable, considering the novel is about a serial murderer. Then again, it’s also about the power of scent in life, so it fits well with the theme.
The merriment continued the next day at the Piazza Santa Trinita, where Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums unveiled an art installation by Daniel Libeskind. Called Florence Blossom, it’s a tribute to the city and will be displayed until the end of Pitti Uomo on June 17.
