TALES FROM THE DARK SIDE. The ghostly flow of chiffon and a haunting track—the air of dreamlike existence in Sølve Sundsbø’s short film reflects the equally whimsical elements found in the fashion collaboration by Alexander McQueen and Damien Hirst.
The thirty limited-edition scarves bear motifs of Hirst’s Entomology collection geometrically positioned to form McQueen’s skull prints. The pairing in the first place seems a match made in heaven, since McQueen has been synonymous with the iconic skull print for the last decade and Hirst, not a stranger to the morbid, in 2007 produced “For the Love of God”: a platinum, diamond-encrusted skull. Who knew that the dark side would be so fashionable?
