You may not be a fan of “Candy Crush” saga, but chances are someone around you is playing it right now, or you may know someone who constantly bugs your Facebook account sending invites to the game. Instead of shunning them, why not join the “Candy Crush” craze by wearing the iconic game. Yes, now you don’t have to play the game to get a sugar rush.
Since his time as Moschino’s creative director, Jeremy Scott has toyed with various pop iconographies, from “Transformers” to “McDonald’s,” incorporating them into his designs. “As someone who is inspired by pop culture, it was only a matter of time ‘til I’d play with the iconography of ‘Candy Crush,'” said Scott. “The only thing I love more than playing the game is wearing it!”
To prove his love for the smartphone game, Jeremy Scott has collaborated with King, the developer of the game to release a four-piece, summer-ready collection featuring a pair of swim trunks, a one-piece swim suit for women, an iPhone case, and a backpack. The “Candy Crush” Collection launch party was held during the Coachella Music Festival and featured a guest-list of who’s who of today’s pop music scene. The collection was also to celebrate the 5th anniversary of “Candy Crush” Saga, having successfully turned many smartphone users into casual gamers.
