Marc Jacobs Curates Apple Music Playlist, Launches Campaign Video

Apple Music has chosen its next fashion curator following last month’s Paul Smith, and it’s Marc Jacobs

It’s no secret that many of Jacobs’ works are heavily influenced by music. You just have to look at his eponymous brand’s campaign this season to know this.

Photographed by David Sims, the campaign features a series of portraits of notable names, including musicians Missy Elliott, St. Vincent, Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson (and let’s not forget Cara Delevingne). In conclusion, Jacobs being chosen as Apple Music’s fashion curator was just a matter of time.

And what a time it was! The arrival of his Apple Music playlist coincides with the unveiling of the music video-slash-fall/winter 2016 campaign film, which saw its launch on Billboard.com.

Set to Man Friday’s, “Love Honey, Love Heartache” (Larry Levan Mix), the film is directed by Hype Williams, whose video directing prowess needs no introduction. It stars the cast of fall/winter 2016 ad campaign (all 29 of them) and Jacobs himself, who gave the video its memorable ending, thanks to his ever-dramatic presence.
