Gone are the days when fashion brands would make short campaign films. They’re going to make full-length music videos from now on, thanks to Kanye West
The all-round artist has recently released the music video to his song, “Wolves,” taken from West’s latest album, “Life of Pablo.” But it’s so much more than a music video; it’s also a part of Balmain‘s fall/winter 2016 campaign.
This revelation has pretty much solved the mystery surrounding Balmain’s crying models once and for all.
Shot in black and white by Steven Klein, the campaign/music video stars high-profile models—including Jon Kortajarena, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Alessandra Ambrosio, Cindy Crawford—in addition to Kim Kardashian and the two musicians who collaborate with West in the song, namely Sia and Vic Mensa. Shot at Gilded Lily, a nightclub in New York City, it also features an appearance from Kylie Jenner and Olivier Rousteing. All of whom are dressed in Balmain, of course.
Never the one to do anything in moderation, West also announced his plan to launch another batch of his Yeezy season 2 military crepe boots a couple hours before the release of the music video.
