Last August, B.R.M Chronographes opened its first boutique in Indonesia at Pacific Place, Jakarta. It was, in fact, the brand’s first venture into Asia. Bernard Richards, the brand’s founder, was present at the inauguration of the sports-inspired lineup of exquisite timepieces. Indeed, his love for racing manifested not only in his watch designs, but also in the opening event’s theme: An actual racecar, fresh from the tracks, was on display, and a driving game arcade cabinet was set up for guests, invitees and attending celebrities who wanted to try out their luck at winning one of B.R.M’s coveted timepieces. Apparently, luxury and adolescent fun do mix quite well.
