The two brands are more alike than you think
One is a fashion house, the other a car manufacturer. But iconic designer Giorgio Armani claims that his eponymous brand has a lot common with Bugatti. “It was very natural to come together with Bugatti,” he says in a statement. “We both worship things that are made well, made to last, created out of the best materials.”
So there you go.
The collaboration has resulted in a limited-edition capsule collection, “Giorgio Armani for Bugatti.” The collection consists of leather goods and clothing, the fashion brand’s specialty. Bugatti’s aesthetics can be seen in the pendant for bags which is shaped like a horseshoe, the emblem on the front of the cars. Dominated by the colors of cognac and army green, Bugatti’s signature blue makes an appearance on the inner lining of bags, interior pockets and insoles of the footwear.
The leather good options are made up of a briefcase, a weekender, belts, wallets and iPad covers and beauty cases in calfskin or crocodile. While the apparel offering includes jackets, tailored coats in cashmere, sweaters and jeans. Each item is numbered and labeled with “Giorgio Armani for Bugatti.”
The collection will be on sale starting the end of August at Armani’s stores and and Ettore Bugatti lifestyle boutiques.
