Italian craftsmanship meets innovative technology, under Indonesian distribution and retail company Utomocorp—distributor of brands like Antony Morato, Aldo Brue, United Nude, Vespa, Piaggio and many more, Italian footwear brand IMAC has officially launched its doors at Jakarta.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, IMAC has been around for more than 40 years. Established in 1974 by brothers David and Renato Mazzocconi, IMAC first started as a workshop that specializes in upper stitching on behalf of third parties. It wasn’t until the early ‘80s that the brand expanded to a shoe manufacturer, specializing themselves in innovative techniques. Most notable was their “mounted” bottom and the polyurethane direct injection into soles that allows extra comfort for the feet.
Through the years, IMAC has also made name for themselves through partnerships. In 2004, for example, they collaborated with W.L.GORE, the owner of the Gore-Tex trademark, to manufacture waterproof and breathable shoes.
