MEMORY REE-CORDER. Some cameras boast excellent picture quality and pro features; some cameras are built around ease-of-use.
HTC’s new RE (pronounced “ree”) camera definitely falls into the latter category. The tube-like gadget packs a 16-megapixel camera and can record HD videos at 1080p—which is okay, but not great. That’s because the RE was designed primarily as a fun personal camera that’s easy to use (even one-handed) by proud fathers running after their children at amusement parks or adventurers looking to document their outdoor exploits (the camera’s tripod socket can accommodate bike mounts, various sockets and a special protection pack for extended underwater use). It might be a bit pricey, but warm memories are priceless, no?
