HOMME GAME. Dior Homme’s spring/summer 2017 collection features the youthful designs of Kris Van Assche breaking Dior’s typical clean-cut style
The spring/summer 2017 collection by Dior Homme doesn’t just showcase the work of Kris Van Assche, the brand’s Belgian artistic director, but also incorporate designs by Japanese artist Toru Kamei, a Tokyo-based painter specializing in botanical still life and Vanitas painting.
Channeling the energy of the youth of Haçienda through the industrial landscape of a utopian fun fair, Kamei’s works are recreated as miniature jacquard patches, photo transfers and badge pins. They appear throughout the collection to decorate the tailored pieces, denim products, footwear and leather goods.
