Converse is all Pride and no prejudice
The National Pride Month in the U.S. may not fall until June, but Pride events have been held in a number of cities around the world since this month. Joining in the festivities is Converse, which is releasing a limited edition Pride collection to show its support for the LGBT community. “The Converse Pride Collection is honored to join the LGBT movement,” says Converse on its official website. “Each step we take brings us closer to universal tolerance and equality.”
The collection comprises both high-top and low-top sneakers, appropriately designed to match the occasion. One of the highlights of the collection is the limited edition premium woven-covered high-top sneaker in rainbow colors. Two more limited edition sneakers are available in black and white canvas; both feature a similar design that resembles a splatter of colors.
The Pride Collection also includes star-printed and paint drip-printed sneakers; all bearing the colors of rainbow, of course. At US$75, Converse also lets you design your own sneakers.
The best part of the sneakers? They’re bold enough to make a statement but still subtle that you can wear them anywhere. See more pictures on the official website here.
