This is one way to watch what you drink
Sure, there are a lot of watches with perpetual calendars, tourbillons, chronographs, minute repeaters, what have you. But we bet those watches don’t have what Cognac Watch has.
The Cognac Watch is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a watch, with a drop of cognac in it.
And not just any cognac; it’s the 250-year-old Gautier 1762, which has been dubbed the oldest cognac sold at public auction by the Guinness World Record.
Wealth Solutions, a Polish company specializing in rare spirits and collectibles, purchased the cognac at an auction in 2014, but it wasn’t until 2015 when the management decided to uncork the bottle. Instead of drinking it, Wealth Solutions collaborated with Swiss timepiece manufacturer Armin Strom to create the world’s first alcoholic watch.
Only 40 specimens—which come in stainless steel, 18k rose gold and titanium cases—were produced, and they’re all sold out already in an exclusive presale.
Following the huge success of the Cognac Watch, Wealth Solutions is already planning for the launch of Rum Watch, which will be completed with a drop of Harewood rum from 1780. You can order it here.
