The new luxury is a child’s play
Whatever it is that keeps fashion obsessed with childhood cartoons and their characters, we highly approve of it. Anything to keep us feeling young, right?
That’s why we’re diggin’ this limited edition pieces. In conjunction with its 75th anniversary, Coach has worked together with fellow American icon Disney to launch a Mickey Mouse-centric collection.
Artwork depicting arguably the world’s most beloved cartoon character will make an appearance on exclusive items, from T-shirts, backpacks, sneakers and biker jackets. The range also includes collectible pieces, like black leather Mickey Mouse dolls and shearling beanbags.
“I’ve always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity,” Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers says in an official press release. “That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.”
The collection made its debut at the Coach store in Soho, New York and Colette, Paris on June 10. Fortunately for us living outside those cities, it will make its way to Coach stores worldwide and coach.com starting June 17.
