Burberry Releases Sexy Ad, Rules Snapchat for Mr. Burberry

It was in 2015 when Burberry first announced its plan to launch Mr. Burberry, a new fragrance for men, and an accompanying short film to be directed by Oscar winner Steve McQueen (“12 Years a Slave,” “Shame”). The resulting film is finally here, and it’s hot!

Starring British actor and musician Josh Whitehouse and actress Amber Anderson, the film follows the days and nights in the life of the couple as they explore London but mostly frolic in bed to Benjamin Clementine’s “I Won’t Complain.”

 

 

Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey has also introduced a series of campaigns dedicated to the fragrance, which includes a capsule collection, grooming line and, not to mention, Discover channel on Snapchat, making it the first luxury brand to do so.

Other than said short film and a making-of video of the fragrance, the channel also consists of a gentleman’s guide on “how to be a modern man.” As everything else on Snapchat, the channel will be live for 24 hours.

The capsule collection is now available on Burberry’s website. The highlight is without a doubt the brand’s signature trench coats, which have been dubbed the inspiration behind Mr. Burberry the fragrance. A lineup of suits and accessories, which include scarves and bags, complete the collection.
